#147 E-trike and the five peso fare
If you happen to be in Bonifacio Global City and maybe going to Burgos Circle, Serendra or the Market! Market!... you might want to try the E-trike. It roams some areas around BGC, and it runs not in gasoline, (the prefix E for electric, and i guess can be environmental ), and with only five peso fare!

#142 Taxi drivers who give exact change
For anyone who regularly uses the taxicab as their form of transportation, it is a bane to meet taxi drivers who doesn't give change! Give them bills, and for sure your change would miss 20 pesos, or coins. They are good in Math, why you ask? because they're good in rounding off numbers haha! 85 pesos becomes 100, 172.50 becomes 200, 101.50 becomes 110. And if you prod them for change, would pretend to look for something, and sheepishly say, 'Pasensya na po walang barya'. But it is good to know not all of them does this, as once in a while I encounter such and just this afternoon, this taxi driver which I gave 200 peso (my fare is 124 pesos), gives me 3 twenties, 2 fives and 6 one peso coins. Nice Manong!
Not the taxi driver, just got this off the net , but you get what I mean =) |

#141 "Tangled" boat scene
I just caught this movie on Star Movies. If you haven't seen the movie Tangled, i urge you to watch it. Disney has redeem their animation refutation with this one, using its old proven formula of singing and use of animals in the movie (Mulan, Alladin, etc.), this time integrating it in 3D animation. Rapunzel is so damn beautiful.
Here is my favorite scene, breathtaking, awesome and the highlight for me.

#133 La Union roadtrip
Two weekends ago, we went on a summer getaway with fellow officemates to La Union. What started with only surfing in mind in the waves of San Juan, turned out to be a roadtrip and lots of sight-seeing along the way. Renting a van, we were able to afford to drop by as we wanted to.
The beauty of having your own ride.
Left Manila past midnight of a Friday, we reached La Union by Saturday morning, the sun already kissing and smiling on us.
First stop, municipality of Bauang, in La Union to buy some stuff in the market which will serve as our breakfast.
After satisfaying our tummies (or maybe overindulging haha) with local longganisa and Igado, cassava and nilupak, next stop... Thunderbird Resorts, in Poro Point, La Union, to check out the place, and do some Kodak moments. It is a high class Mediterranean-inspired resort and best known also for its casino.
Third stop, the Friendship Pagoda, sitting atop the hill on San Fernando, overlooking the downtown city and the South China Sea.
Stayed at the beach for 24 hours, surf, bum, eat, and drink! On a Sunday afternoon, we checked out and headed home.
We passed on the way home to Manaoag church in Pangasinan, which is about two to three hours from La Union. It is a known pilgrimage site for Catholics, which houses the Nuestra Senora de Manaoag.
