#212 Drinking spree with barkada

Well, I just came home from an inuman session with some office friends and we had a blast! There is a nearby inuman place beside our office building that also serves awesome atay and pork barbeque.

Although sometimes hangover hurts like hell the following day, I still look forward to drinking sprees with friends, barkadas or officemates. The laughter, the kwentuhan and the kulitan overload is just too hard to miss. It also is a good way to destress and leave pressing issues and worries behind for the meantime.

#211 Year 2012 thru the bottles

Here are some of 2012 bottles I managed to saved.

Three of the bottles are from the FUN RUNs I joined last year (powerade and pocari). I managed to joined 5 runs last year, hope to join more this year.

The other 5 bottles (alcohols) came from the special celebrations and inumans with friends and special people in my life. The bottles are the leftover of special memories of 1) my birthday 2) Meann's birthday 3) Bert's gift 4) Xmas bottle and 5) 1H1M christmas party. More drinks to come, more laughter, more kwentuhan and sana less of hangover. 2013 here I come!

#210 The new Apple headset

Apple has upgraded its bundled headset for its gadgets. With the coming of the new Iphone 5, Apple has introduced a new and improved earphones. Ipod which was realeased 2001, and has revolutionized the portable music players, the world was introduced to those white earphones and more than a decade of the white generic Ipod headsets.

Crappy sound and always fall off your ear headsets

The new earphone is great and provides awesome bass on BEP's "My Humps" or Prodigy's "Smack that Bitch up" or clarity on Charlotte Church's "Ave Maria". The power is also great and even at low volume, music is already an experience. While I am checking out this headset, I currently own an in-ear Philips headset, and the performance is comparable and even surpasses the branded one. It is not as high tech or mind blowing as those expensive Bose or Grado earphones, but it is decent enough given that it is just free. Cool!

It's me! It's me!

Background of the video:

I attended some kind of presentation workshop in the office to hone our presentation skills (being a technical trainer). It was a two-day training and we were allowed to present three times. The first two revolves around technical subjects or something we do on the job, and the last presentation can be any topic under the sun and any topic we are interested in. The night before the third presentation, I decided to be a little playful and prepared to talk about this blog.

Here is a video of my presentation:

#207 Crying on a good movie

Confession. I am not really a cryer, in watching movies and life in general. Maybe it has dried up with all the crying I did a long time ago haha. But, I do get carried away with good ones. Anne Hathaway's moment in the movie Les Miserables has blown me to pieces and found myself crying and shedding a tear. I can relate with her helplessness and complete lose of hope, as I have been that character one time or another. Her husband left her and a child, fired from a job, no money and thrown into prostitution, then later died in the hospital soon after.  And Anne was good! I did feel the hell and disillusionment in her. Well she did earned a Golden Globe for her acting.

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
As they turn your dream to shame

He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came

And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

#206 My reliable companion: Buloy

Meet Buloy. A 2 year old male puspin (slang for pusang pinoy).

I adapted him when he was maybe around 3 or 4 months. Wow, time flies so fast isn't it? Fast forward one year and so months, and that is the time we've been spending our time together. Cats fit more in my lifestyle as they not high maintenance like dogs are. Just put a bowl of food, a bowl of water, and thirdly a litter box on standby, and that's it. Unlike dogs where you have to groom, bath, walk outside, take to the vet, etc.

#205 That iPhone 5 retina display

The universe has gifted me with an iPhone last week. I am quite getting good in manifesting!

Since I was too busy with work, chores and an office workshop I still had no time to tinker with the new phone. In the coming days! But for now, one thing that stands out for me is the retina display. I just can't stop looking on it. I'll turn the monitor on then turn it to sleep just to appreciate the beauty of the new Apple gadget display and never fails me to make me smile. I have the 3Gs prior to this and it is a long shot from it. The display is simply fantastic. They say its pixel density is so high our eyes can't distinguish the individual pixels.

I can't wait to explore the features and apps like I did with the old one. As they say, owning an Apple is not just owning a new gadget but having the awesome experience, which took a lot of time to develop, research and conceptualized in the Apple labs. Thank you Mr. Jobs wherever you maybe! Thank you universe!

This screen capture doesn't justify the beauty in real life. Own it to appreciate!

It's getting cold. Last night, I have no need to turn on the aircon as it is comfortable even with just the electric fan. Wow! And news says that it would get even colder in the coming days.

Momol weather as it is a good time to cuddle up, hug and snuggle with someone you like. :)

Enjoy the cool climate till it last until the the first week of February!

#203 I could sing of your love forever

I heard this song at yesterday's Sunday church service... and I.. immediately fell in love with it. The message is great and the melody is just sweet. Na LSS ako.

What makes your heart sing? What are you grateful of? If you can't sing, maybe you haven't still seen the wondrous miracles in your life showered 24 hours a day. If you just open up your heart, and remove the filters from you eyes, blessings abound!!! Friends, family, gadgets, things, love, kisses, movies, music, money, food, books, ideas, oppurtunities, drinking sessions, beaches, travel, sex, cotton buds, bike, sunset and sunrise, babies, flowers, nature, freebies and special offers, internet, comic books, sports, sleep, isaw, coffee, and the list goes on and on and on... I didn't even think hard to enumerate them. If you will just open up your eyes. Life is awesome. And i could sing of your love forever...

Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the Healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing of
Of when Your love came down

I could sing of Your love forever...

Oh I feel like dancing
It's foolishness I know
But when the world has seen the light
They will dance with joy
Like they're dancing now

I could sing of your love forever!

#202 Tricycle drivers know the way

You maybe needing notary public service, a cheap haircut, or looking for the barangay hall. Just flag one tricycle and Manong driver knows the way. It is easier in the province but harder in the metro to look for basic services, just sit down and relax and let Manong take over.  Its one thing google search and map doesn't help you yet with. :-P

#201 Runtastic

I love this free workout GPS app. Now, I can monitor my distance of my run and my speed. Thank you Runtastic!

Example of my tracking. The left side is my 1.83 km walk and the other one is my 22 minute run.
